Ali Sheppard - Program Director
Ali Sheppard is the Program Director and administrator for Coach Derek, Inc. She earned her BA from QueensUniversity of Charlotte in Human and Community Services and now resides in Raleigh, North Carolina. Ali currently attends North Carolina State University, working towards her Masters degree in Social Work. In addition to being a full-time graduate student she is also a Teaching Assistant in the Social Work department and as part of the MSW program interns with the Durham County Guardian ad Litem Program 16 hours a week.
In addition to her education (and organizational skills to keep the Coach Derek Team working seamlessly), Ali also has over 15 years of experience working with children and families. She has been a childcare provider for several years and hopes to continue to work with children and families in her professional career. In her spare time, she is involved with community volunteering for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Human Rights Campaign, and Planned Parenthood. Ali strongly believes in the Coach Derek philosophy and enjoys working with an organization that creates such a positive athletic environment for so many children.
